On August 20th, President Gabriel Boric will embark on a jam-packed day, visiting the regions of Ñuble and La Araucanía. The President’s agenda includes the inauguration of a new police station, the commemoration of the birth of the Liberator Bernardo O’Higgins, and meetings with local authorities to discuss security and regional development.

Ñuble: Inaugurating a New Police Station and Honoring O’Higgins

The day will begin early, with the President departing from the Air Force Group No. 10 at 6:00 AM and heading to the Ñuble region. At 9:00 AM, he will inaugurate the Fifth Police Station of Quirihue, accompanied by the Minister of the Interior, Carolina Tohá, and other local authorities.

Later, at 11:00 AM, the President will participate in the ceremony commemorating the 246th anniversary of the birth of the Liberator Bernardo O’Higgins Riquelme, in the Bernardo O’Higgins Monumental Park in Chillán Viejo. This event will be attended by the Minister of National Defense, Maya Fernández, and other members of the government.

La Araucanía: Addressing Security and Meeting with Local Authorities

In the afternoon, the President and his team will travel to the La Araucanía region, arriving at the La Araucanía International Airport around 5:00 PM. The day will conclude at 6:00 PM with a meeting at the Presidential Delegation of La Araucanía, in Temuco, where President Boric will meet with the board of the Association of Municipalities of the La Araucanía Region (AMRA). The Undersecretary of Regional Development, Francisca Perales, and the Presidential Delegate, José Montalva, will also participate in this meeting, along with other authorities.
