Carmona Distances Himself from Maduro’s Accusations Against the Chilean Government: ‘I Don’t Share That Characterization’

The president of the Communist Party, Lautaro Carmona, has distanced himself from the recent accusations of Nicolás Maduro against the Government of Gabriel Boric, when he assured that in Chile Venezuelans are being trained to return to their country to commit terrorist acts.

The party leader, who leads the only government store that supported the Venezuelan electoral system, stated: I don’t have any information about that (…) I don’t have or share that characterization.

It should be remembered that the leader of the regime in Venezuela considered Chile as part of a cyber-fascist criminal coup against him, which was also evaded by the communist leader.

In addition, in the face of the distances that the position of his party could have generated within the ruling coalition, Carmona was consulted by parliamentarians who have assured that they do not want to share a list with the PC again.

To this, Carmona responded: Each one makes decisions based on their own perspective, and each one will have to assume their decisions.

Meanwhile, from the Broad Front, they maintain a clear and broad position of not recognizing the Venezuelan elections, hoping to be able to advance in this discussion with the PC.

As the president of the Broad Front, Constanza Martínez, concluded: Let’s hope we align ourselves in that reading, in the concern for transparency, but also for the Human Rights that now have us very concerned.

Conclusion

The distancing of the Communist Party leader from Maduro’s accusations against the Chilean government highlights the complex political dynamics within the ruling coalition. While the Broad Front maintains a clear position on the Venezuelan elections, the PC’s stance has generated differences that will need to be addressed to ensure a united front on this sensitive issue.
